Angela Missy Zepeda appointed as Coachella City Clerk
The City Council made the appointment during its July 8 meeting
COACHELLA, July 15, 2015 — The Coachella City Council has appointed Angela Missy Zepeda as City Clerk, replacing Beatrice Barajas, who resigned her post due to a conflict of interest with her employer.
The City Council made the appointment during its July 8 meeting. Zepeda will serve the remainder of Barajas’s term, which runs through the November 2016 election, when voters will decide who serves as as City Clerk for the 2016 to 2020 term.
Zepeda, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, has spent nearly three years working as a customer service representative for Coachella Valley Water District.
Prior to joining CVWD, Zepeda was an account management agent for Time Warner Cable for four years. She also spent five months as a front desk supervisor for Marriott’s Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, where she supervised 31 employees.
Zepeda graduated from California State University, San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus in 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and management with a minor in finance.
