Free training for mental health specialists

The Central City Community Health Center is looking for 30 people to become Peer Support Specialists. These specialists will coach clients in the Public Mental Health System in Riverside County.

The ideal candidates will have life experience with mental health issues. The program is also available for people who attend self-help support groups or are employed in the mental health system. 

The free training starts Friday, July 20, 2018 and ends August 25, 2018. This training takes place in Culver City, with transportation costs and overnight hotel stays included.

The cities of Coachella and Indio and Riverside County Health Services are partners in the program.
