Effective July 1, 2015, the City of Coachella will discontinue monthly billing for sewer services and will begin billing these charges annually on property tax bills. Charges will appear on your tax bill, which comes from the Riverside County Assessor-Tax Collector’s office. Property owners who usually pay their property taxes through two annual installments, will pay their sewer fees in December and in April. Property owners that pay property taxes through an impound account on their monthly mortgage bill, may need to adjust their monthly payments to cover sewer charges.

If you are a property owner that would like to continue making monthly payments towards your annual sewer bill, the City of Coachella offers a payment program that can be set up by following these simple steps:

1. Visit the Rabobank branch located at 1491 6th Street, Coachella, California 92236 to sign up for a free savings account

2. Deposit monthly sewer service payments into the new account

3. Withdrawal the funds from the account in December and April to pay for annual sewer service charges
