The City of Coachella’s Redevelopment Agency has set aside funding for the First-Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistant Program. This program provides deferred payment, low interest loans to assist low and moderate income families in the purchase of a qualified home in the city limits of the City of Coachella. The maximum purchase price for the City’s program, as established by the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) is currently set at $362,790, this limit is reviewed by HUD and may change every year, for any updates please contact the City of Coachella Community Services office at (760) 398-3502 x131. The City will provide a maximum assistance through the First-time Homebuyer Program of $75,000, please be advised that not every household/applicant will qualify for the full assistance.
All Lenders willing to participate in this program must first be approved by the City of Coachella. In order to be considered a Participating Lender please complete the Participating Lender Application and fax it back to (760) 398-1034.
