The Coachella Police Department is proudly served through a contract by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Contract law enforcement has been in existence for many years, in fact, the Riverside County Sheriff's department has been providing law enforcement services to the City of Coachella since 1998. Coachella is one of 13 cities in our county that have asked us to provide law enforcement services.
The men and women assigned to the Coachella Police Department are proud to bring you this website, with the hope that it will foster better relations, communication, and understanding of the role this department has in our community.
This website offers a brief look at the many services the Department provides. It also offers a means of direct contact for those persons who use the Internet daily, at work, at home, and on the road. Be sure to check out the interactive pages, which are designed to help speed the crime reporting process, and to help report problem traffic areas within the City. The use of the interactive pages will speed up the time in which you can receive a report for insurance purposes, or for your own personal records. This method of filing a report will help keep sworn deputies on the streets, looking for criminal activity. The website also offers you the ability to send direct email to certain deputies at the Department. This will often allow for a quicker response time to a question or concern you may have.
There is a links page which will allow you access to many other local, county, state, and federal websites, all offering law enforcement and government-related information.
