The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is contracted to provide comprehensive law enforcement services through the City of Coachella Police Department.



Increase Quality of Life:
Responds quickly and effectively to calls for service, including traffic incidents and criminal activity.

Reduce Fear of Crime:
Supports and promotes the concept of Community Oriented Policing through regular interaction with residents, engagement in community partnerships and evidence-based problem-solving techniques.

Implement Proactive Patrol Strategies:
Deters criminal activity and reduces calls for service by proactively working with the public to address issues of concern and working with partner agencies, including California State Parole and the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force.

  • Advocates for communication, sensitivity, and trust between the community and its police department.

  • Manages police personnel assigned to the City of Coachella
  • Implements programs aimed at improving the quality of life within the community.

  • Supervises the Coachella Community Action Team
  • Implements programs aimed at reducing crime
  • Implements programs aimed at increasing the trust of the community.
